Flowers, simplified

From bouquet stocking service to automated ambiance florals, Flowers by Sweetpea has what you need to make florals an easy sell at Nelle’s

Why Us

Nelle’s is a third space and community hub. Locally grown sustainable flowers go hand in hand with that vision.

The flowers in our bouquets and arrangements are sourced from passionate small scale growers all over the Puget Sound, who delight in finding heirloom quality blooms that outshine your traditional grocery store stock.

Access to flowers from bigger partners (like Jello Mold Farms and Free Range Flowers) allows us to meet high demand while maintaining our values around sustainability.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Fresh flowers are available from mid April until the first hard frost (typically mid October to late November)

  • Yes! Many of our growers also produce high quality dried stems, perfect for having a little pop of nature even in the coldest months. Foliage such as evergreens, lichen covered branches, and ornamental berries add a fresh touch to winter arrangements

  • Traditional commercial flowers are grown in large greenhouses and shipped across the globe, resulting in a huge carbon footprint for the convenience of finding flowers year round. By committing to exclusively use flowers grown in western Washington, we eliminate the need for travel and the energy use associated with commercial greenhouse production.

Even locally, the use of pesticides and other common farming practices can have a negative impact on our health and the health of the beautiful area we live in. Our micro growers have committed to avoiding any harsh pesticides or inorganic fertilizer, while our larger partners are certified Salmon Safe.

Traditional floristry relies heavily on floral foam to create structured designs, a petroleum based product that contains harmful chemicals like phenol and formaldehyde. Our arrangements incorporate re-usable and plastic free alternatives such as chicken wire and metal pin frogs.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day.
